How We Make an Antique Finish
First we clean the metal and remove oil and old coating. Next we plate it with the base metal, such as brass, bronze or copper. Then we darken it with a safe chemical dip. After that our workers rub the raised parts by hand so the light color shows again. Last we seal the surface with a clear coat to protect the color.
If the item needs a smooth surface first, we can polish it with mechanical buffing and metal polishing before plating.
